MEET THE TEAM
Christine Hanlan, RHN, NNCP, PTS
As Ontario Racquet Club’s Health & Wellness Ambassador Christine takes her love of fitness and nutrition with her to work to help members with their health and wellness goals.
Graduating in 2003 from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN) as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN), Christine was recognized for graduating first in her class. Amazed at what nutrition did for her own health she enthusiastically started her nutrition career at Extreme Fitness, later joining Core Expectations for pre and postnatal women. More recently Christine was working in the area of mental health with a team of psychologists before joining the Ontario Racquet Club in 2016.
Christine is also a member of the Canadian Association of Natural Nutritional Practitioners, an independent, not-for-profit association that assures the public that Natural Nutrition Clinical Practitioners (NNCP) are meeting high ethical and educational standards. Only those nutritionists that continue post-graduate studies, and mentor other nutritionists, are granted the NNCP designation.
Post-graduation Christine also became a teacher at CSNN and taught courses in Symptomatology, Sports Nutrition, Meal Planning, and Nutrition for Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
Christine’s fitness career started at age 9 as a competitive swimmer and she swam her way through adolescence and university. Thinking that personal training would be an ideal pairing with nutrition, Christine obtained her Personal Training Specialist certification from canfitpro in 2012 and has further education in Functional Movement Screening, TRX Suspension Training, Thai Yoga Stretching for Exercise, and other continuing education courses. Before joining the Ontario Racquet Club, Christine worked as a personal trainer in a private studio in Toronto with some of Canada’s most respected government, business and philanthropic leaders.
Being a busy mom as well, Christine understands the challenge of fitting fitness and nutrition in to a busy day. She’s here to help you find your balance and build a wellness plan that’s a perfect fit for you.
