Ask the Squash Pro

I’m an intermediate squash player who wants to get better.  Can you suggest the easiest ways for me to improve my squash game?

Answer (from Squash Director David Heath):

I suggest the three easiest ways for you to improve your game are:

1) Learn how to hit the ball better and move more efficiently on court, then practice on your own!

2) Spend half of your time on court drilling with your partner to groove your strokes and footwork in a controlled situation, rather than just playing games all the time.

3) Improve all aspects of your fitness - try to be active 4 - 6 days per week - play or train squash, get to the gym, take a group exercise class.

Good luck,
