Professional StaffKathie Kilpatrick After 21 years in advertising and marketing, Kathie decided to turn her hobby of fitness and bodybuilding into a newfound career. Now, at the Director of Fit For Her, she is able to bring together her business and fitness experience to do something that she really loves – develop the team and programmes that will help women of all ages and abilities realize their full fitness, health and wellness potential. Kathie is passionate about weight training and believes that it can play an integral role in both the general health and sports performance of people of all ages and lifestyles. It’s a great way to help athletic ability and prevent injury, ait in injury or illness recovery, reduce stress and blood pressure, reduce fat, and build bone density. Combined with a healthy approach to nutrition, it’ a surefire way to look and feel great. Particular areas of expertise are older adults and those with health or injury specific requirements and she continues to educate herself in these areas. Kathie graduated with honours from the Fitness Leadership Program at Seneca College. She is certified as a Fitness Consultant through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiologists, a Personal Trainer and Post-Rehabilitation Specialist through Certified Professional Trainers Network, a Nutrition & Wellness Specialist through Can-Fit Pro, and a spinning instructor through Mad Dogg Athletics. She has been a member of the ORC team since 2001. Kathie looks forward to working with all of the Fit For Her members, helping them to achieve their individual goals. Whether new to fitness, a seasoned pro, or looking for a change of pace, Kathie encourages you to come by and discuss your health and wellness needs with her or one of the other professionals on our team. Jacqueline Giella-Crespo Approach: Energetic and enthusiastic, Jackie helps you reach your goals with exercises that give you flexibility, strength and good posture. Ainslie Husbands Personal Trainer Approach: Ainslie has a very positive, upbeat personality. Her friendly attitude and warm smile makes everyone feel welcome. Certifications: Ainslie is certified in several different areas including; pilates, yoga, spinning and personal training. She continues to attend work shops, courses and seminars in order to constantly learn new ways to challenge her clients. Specializations: As an athlete, Ainslie specializes in sport specific training, meditation, recovery from injury as well as injury prevention. She provides her clients with the proper tools and education to guide even the most novice beginner on a self fulfilling path by showing them how to succeed at fitness. Philosophy: Fitness includes the mind, body and soul and in order to be healthy, one should challenge all three components on a daily basis. Regan Clark Personal Trainer Approach: Regan has a passion for teaching pilates and takes a holistic “whole body” approach when training clients. She has been involved in competitive sport for most of her life and has had the opportunity to train and coach beginner to elite athletes. Education: McMaster University undergrad program studying Psychology and Sociology. Certifications: ACE Personal Trainer; Pilates Professional: Stott Trained; ORCA Level One Tandem Whitewater Canoe Coaching; Level One National Coaching for Sprint Canoe and Kayaking; Kick-box Boot Camp Instructor Program; Madd Dog Athletics Spinning Instructor Specializations: Pilates and core conditioning; circuit training; strength training. Philosophy: Physical, Spiritual and Emotional Fitness contribute to creating balance in our life process. “Keep an open mind, step out of the box and try new things.” |
