Tennis News!!!

We are so excited that summer is just around the corner! Outdoor tennis will be in full swing, pool will be open and the smell of the BBQ will be in the air. The change of seasons means a few minor disruptions however not without fantastic rewards! Note the dates below for upcoming maintenance items:

Tuesday, April 29 to Friday, May 2nd
removing the bubble on Courts 13 to 17

Tuesday, May 6 to Friday, May 9
removing the bubble on Courts 8 to 12

Monday, May 19 to Sunday, May 23rd
resurfacing indoor Courts 1 to 7

We look forward to seeing you and your family around the club this summer and with more tennis programming than ever before ORC has so much to offer! Our snazzy resurfaced courts will be the envy of all the local outdoor tennis clubs! Come inside this summer and enjoy unlimited tennis* without the cost court fees!

*must purchase a 2008 Summer Playpass, unlimited indoor tennis valid June, July & August.

Spend a day with the Pros!

Join some of our Academy coaches on a field trip to the Rogers Cup Qualies on Saturday July 19th. The fun begins at 9 am at ORC as we gather together, lather on the sunscreen and prepare for a day of watching up and coming professional players (like our very own Kirill Sinitsyn and Milan Prokrajac) battle through the qualifying draw for a chance to play in the main event.

It's the perfect way to see professional tennis – through the eyes of your coaches as they watch the players from practice courts to tough matches.

Want to be part of a team that hosted what Tennis Canada called the "best national event" of 2007?

Come and join our volunteer team at this summer's U16 Nationals from Aug 1-8th at ORC. Let's make it another event to remember for the 90 top national level U16 competitors who join us from across the country. Last year ORC boasted 2 National Champions:

Volunteer activities include transportation, sponsorship, player control desk, marketing, or player lounge. Spend a few hours, a day or your week and make this summer's event one to remember.
