Sam was born on Nov 8, 1985 and has been playing tennis since the age of 6 and competitive tennis since 12. Consistently ranked in the top 10 in Ontario as a junior Sam was a member of Team Ontario for almost all of junior career. In the under 16 age group was where he was most successful achieving a year end provincial rank of #1 in Ontario and a national ranking of #10 in Canada. Sam graduated from Brandeis University in Boston MA last year and has since been playing Futures and Challengers on the ITF men’s circuit. While he attended Brandeis Sam was a four year #1 singles and doubles player, and in addition to being captain of the team his senior year; reached as high as #38 in NCAA (Div3), and received many UAA (athletic conference) awards during his time at University.
