Ian Power

Ian has been ranked inside the top 100 in the world from 2001-2007, having won 2 PSA titles during that time. He was also ranked in the top ten in Canada for 10 years, playing on the national Team for 5 consecutive years.  In 2003 Ian won a gold medal at the Pan American Games.

Not only is Ian a successful squash player , he is also a certified level two coach and has been head Pro and director of the highly esteemed Power Squash Academy for the last five years.   This is in addition to being a pro at R.C.Y.C. and most recently a pro at the Granite Club.  His experience both as a player and a pro will be a huge benefit to the squash program and in particular, the junior program at ORC.

Khayal Mohammed Khan

Coached by world renowned Rehmut coach of squash legends: Jansher and Jahangir Khan, in the squash heartland of Lahore, Pakistan. Khayal was the 2002 Junior World Bronze Champion (individual event) and played in the #1 position for the 2002 Gold Medal World Team Championships. Khayal is looking forward to passing along his knowledge, experience and inspiration to ORC juniors and members, as well as making his comeback on the Canadian and PSA circuits. His next tournament is in London, Ontario at the end of September. Contact the squash department at ORC if your son/daughter is interested in taking a lesson with Khayal. Khayal is working with Ben Hatcher in the junior clinics throughout the week.

Maia Kirk

Maia is ORC’s grassroots coach and multi-sport super-athlete. Maia teaches private and semi private lessons, junior clinics and is spearheading ORC’s high school and elementary school squash program. Maia coaches players of all levels, and is especially keen on promoting squash amongst juniors and athletes who are new to the sport.
