Kids/Teen Fitness

Teen Fitness
Teens 15 years of age and older are allowed to work out in the Fitness Centre and weight room. There are alternatives for teens 12 years and older to gain access to the Fitness Centre.

#1 Five Personal Training Session
This will follow the teen training manual and the exam at the end. The manual will go over: cardiovascular health, heart rates, strength training, safety, stretching, workout programs, and muscles.

Semi-Private
5 Session Package $375.00 + applicable taxes

#2 Teen Training Clinics
These clinics will go through all the information following the teen training manual, the exam and teens will have a personal program at the end.

Teen Yoga 12-16yrs
Designed to introduce teens to yoga while providing safe and effective exercise. Classes incorporate strengthening and heart opening postures to encourage self-awareness, confidence and clarity of mind. Improves balance, coordination, flexibility, and discipline and stress management. Great for teens who are looking for some cross-training for their sports (i.e. tennis, squash, soccer…) to help with injury prevention, improve posture and mental focus. Try Teen Yoga with a friend and see how yoga can change your outlook on life and fitness.

Teen Yoga 8-11yrs
This program was designed with teens in mind that are looking for some cross-training with other sports (i.e. Tennis, squash, soccer…) to help with flexibility, injury prevention and mental focus. Yoga is beneficial at any age. This class with be informative as well as fun for all. Try youth yoga with a friend and see how yoga can change your outlook on life and fitness.

Young Champions 9-14yrs
This program was designed with young athletes in mind. Whatever your sport; training your agility, balance, coordination, speed, endurance, strength, and flexibility will develop your young athlete into a great athlete. This multi-faceted clinic will use ladder drills, hurdles, box jumps, exercise balls, medicine balls, hand-eye coordination drills… and many more.

Gym Rats and Bunnies 12-16 yrs
The introductory level starts with machine safety, gym etiquette and the principles of cardiovascular endurance and general anatomy. Participants will learn how to use the 32 stack- loaded machines, as well as, treadmills, cross-trainers and two types of bikes (recumbent and upright). Upon successful completion of Level 1, participants who are ORC members are permitted full access to the upstairs Fitness Centre.

Kids Gym – Basics 6-9yrs
Play time is great for kids but these are the growing years when they learn and develop the basic skills to help them in their daily activities. Learning how to run, jump, throw and catch are the foundation skills to carry your child’s talents through these growing years. Kids will have lots of fun with fitness coach interactions, games, drills, and skill development. This program encourages children to get in shape through fun, highly active games and activities. It’s like bringing playground fun indoors.

Kids Gym – Challengers 6-9yrs
This clinic will take the basic fun fit class to the next level: your child will learn the skills to help them in school sports, recreational sports, and daily fitness activities. Play time is great for kids but these are the growing years when they learn and develop agility, dexterity, balance, and coordination. These attributes will translate to your child’s everyday life or other activities. This program encourages children to get in shape through fun, highly active games and activities.

Teen Spin 11-16yrs
Let’s get the kids doing more than playing games or gym class sports. Try something new with Teen Spinning; high energy, fun, cardio workout sure to leave you pumped and improve your cardiovascular and muscular endurance. Challenge yourself and start spinning into a new view on health and fitness. Come prepared to sweat to your favorite tunes!

Cardio-Core Bootcamp 9-14 yrs
Keep your kids moving towards good health by keeping them active and off the couch by introducing fun and inventive ways to stay fit. This program encourages children to develop their aerobic capacity, strengthen their core while performing these activities in a circuit form. Circuits are what make it fun! This program introduces the “Tween” group to a more organized workout but still includes fun activities and challenges to keep it enjoyable and age appropriate.

Kinder Gym 3-5yrs
Play time is great for kids but these are the growing years when they learn and develop agility, dexterity, balance, and coordination. These attributes will translate to your child’s everyday life or other activities. This program encourages fitness in younger children through play, dance, and non-competitive games. Imaginations are a must. This program stresses Fundamentals, Fitness and Fun!

Teen Pilates 10-16yrs
An introduction to the exercise method developed by Joseph Pilates. This program is designed for teens that need their core muscles worked hard. Pilates is a great way to become more kinesthetically aware and use muscles you never thought you had. This clinic teaches exercises that help to create long, lean muscles and relieve stress while improving strength, flexibility and sports performance. Try Teen Pilates with a friend and see why Pilates has taken over the fitness industry as one of the best workouts around.

Sports Performance Academy 9-18yrs
Sign up for the 7 weeks – twice a week for great performance training!
Young Athletes will learn how periodization training can help their performance in sport exponentially! Each 7 week session will include: Fitness testing, rehabilitation and stretching for optimum healthy body performance, Strength training, endurance training, power and speed training, agility, balance, coordination training, and finally; fitness testing to measure results.
The focus will be on High Performance and developing an athlete for any sport.
Minimum and maximum number of athletes to a coach per day are 3 to 1 and 8 to 1.

Alpine Ontario Dryland Training 10-18yrs
This training program was designed for Alpine skiers specifically to improve on: agility, balance, coordination, speed, strength, and conditioning. All competitive level junior skiers are welcome to join in the training. If you want your athlete to improve in skiing and perform to their potential - then Alpine Ontario Dryland training is the clinic for you!

Teen Circuits FREE for Teen Members Ages 10-17yrs

Wednesdays & Fridays 4-5pm
Sundays 11am – 12pm
Training Studio

Drop in and learn how to use weight equipment, core workouts, and circuit. The teen circuits are trainer-supervised, so that your teen will learn proper technique, gym etiquette, strength training, core training, endurance building and anatomy. Teen will have fun with fitness while making new friends at the same time.
Come out and see what the hype is all about.
Teens will be given an exercise program to follow during the circuit hour and the trainer will be there to help with their workout.

Sports Performance Academy

1 to 4 days / week for 7 weeks

Sign up for the 7 weeks anywhere from once a week to four times a week.
Young athletes will learn how periodization training can help their performance in sport exponentially! Each 7 week session will include:
  1. Fitness testing
  2. Prehabilitation and stretching for optimum healthy body performance
  3. Strength training
  4. Endurance training
  5. Power and speed training
  6. Agility, balance, coordination Training
  7. And final fitness testing to measure results
The focus will be on high performance and developing an athlete for any sport.

Minimum and maximum number of athletes to a coach per day are 3:1 and 8:1.

Once/week = $125
Twice/week = $230
Three times/week= $335
Four times/week = $440
Plus applicable tax

Please indicate the days you will be attending between Monday to Thursday at 6pm.
