ORC in the Community

ORC takes pleasure in helping out the community in many ways. From the fight against Child Obesity to the expanding Go Green Movement, we take pride in our initiatives and will continue to find innovative ways to impact our society in a positive manner. We hope to inspire others to join us in making our community a better place for all.

Our pledge: Ontario Racquet Club has made a commitment to raise a minimum of $25,000 for Canada’s athletes. WE DID IT!

Thanks to all those who supported ORC’s 5for5 Spirit Flame in support of the Canadian Olympic Foundation. We exceeded our goal!

…ORC launches its ‘ORC Going Green’ Campaign

Automated faucets and low-flow fixtures save valuable resources and money which can be better spent in other areas of the club. On-line statements and member e-letters reduce paper waste and our ‘lights out’ policy all add up to a greener environment and ORC encourages everyone to do their part.

In 2006...

For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we sold bracelets and “Thingamaboob” Key chains. We helped raise over $250.

In November, we helped the Salvation Army with a clothing drive we had at the club. Our Goal was 500 articles of warm clothing; our members and staff helped collect over 700 articles of clothing. We are very proud of this outcome and look forward to increasing our goal next year.

For the Holidays, we collected new, unwrapped toys for babies to teens for the Salvation Army/680 News Toy Mountain. We collected over 700 toys for all ages just before Christmas to be delivered.

Thanks to all our generous members and staff, who will always ask how they can help and give just a little bit more.
