ORC is now a proud supporter of the Canadian Olympic Foundation.

As the first club in Canada to be awarded this honour, we stand behind our pledge to raise $250,000 for Canada's athletes, and provide Canadians with a healthy, active lifestyle...in mind, body and spirit.

Public launch

On October 13th ORC members and Mississauga/Oakville residents joined athletes and local celebrities as we announced our partnership to the media and community.

A torch relay run kicked off at Mississauga City Hall and our Spirit Runners ran 7km to the ORC as a demonstration of our support.



In attendance were Olympians Tamas Buday, Billy Bridges, Jennifer Botterill, Sami Jo Small, MPP Peter Fonseca and Executive Director of Marketing and Communication for the Canadian Olympic Foundation, David Bedford.

The Canadian Olympic Foundation is viewed by all Canadians as the premiere organization to support Canadian high performance athletes in pursuit of their Olympic dreams. The Foundations’ goal is to raise $150 million over 2007-2012 and ORC has risen to the challenge and committed to help in this cause through fundraising events and building awareness of the Olympic Movement in Canada.
